ABOUT ME

I born in Colombia but my journey as a photographer began in the world of cocktails and bartending in Dubai. Immersed in the craft of mixology, I learned the art of precision, creativity, and storytelling through flavors. It was this attention to detail and passion for human connection that led me to explore portrait photography, where I could capture the essence of individuals in a single frame.

However, my true calling came during a transformative trip to Bali, where I discovered documentary photography. This genre spoke to me in a way that no other had, it allowed me to not only observe but deeply connect with people and their stories, capturing the rawness of everyday life and the profound beauty in the ordinary. Through my lens, I found a way to honor the unique narratives of the people I meet, highlighting their humanity and culture in a visual storytelling format.

My latest personal project, Country Pillars, is a testament to this philosophy. Focused on the women of Indonesia, it explores their integral roles in tradition and community, presenting a visual narrative that intertwines heritage and resilience. This work reflects my belief that documentary photography is not just about images, but about the deep relationships formed during the process, an exchange of stories, emotions, and understanding.

For me, photography is more than a profession; it’s a way of connecting with the world, one story at a time. It is through this connection that I find meaning, and my goal is to continue using my work to bring untold stories to light, fostering empathy and insight through every photograph I take.
